On one hand, parades used political tributes as a pretext to criticize what they call the " damages of the family in preserve ." On the other, analysts and faith leaders are trying to figure out why the Christian public feels increasingly disconnected from the narratives proposed by the festivities and traditional politics. While the carnival script parades its allegories, colors, and satires filled with irony about us "conservatives," here we are… with a new label. Tem gente que ora e nada faz, tem gente que faz e não ora. E tem gente que faz da oração a sua ação.

Tem gente que ora e logo vem o amém. Outros oram e levam uma “eternidade”.

Mas a oração não é qualificada pela sublimidade de suas palavras, e nem tão pouco pela sua longevidade.

A oração é um diálogo que nos eleva à presença do Pai. Deve ser sincera, devemos nos apresentar quebrantados, e prontos a aceitar a vontade Dele: “Seja feita a Sua vontade assim na terra como no céu” (Mateus 6.10).
